The Veterans Memorial honors Village veterans who served their nation in uniform from the time of the War of 1812. The Memorial is situated in the Living Memorial Tree Park. It takes the form of a walled, landscaped area 72 ft. long and 37 feet wide. It is crowned at one end by a 30-inch diameter Canadian mahogany granite globe resting on a granite plinth that makes it more than 5 feet tall
